Connecting WinTeams and ADP: End-to-End Integration for HCM Data Flows

RJR client (anonymized)

RJ Reliance engineered a full WinTeams-to-ADP integration covering employee, organization, and payroll data for an anonymized client.

Networked systems exchanging workforce and payroll data

The situation

An RJ Reliance client was operating WinTeams and ADP as separate systems with no automated connection between them. Employee indicative data, organizational data, and payroll data were being managed across both platforms without a structured integration, creating risk of inconsistency and requiring manual intervention to keep records aligned.

The absence of a reliable data bridge between the workforce management environment and the payroll system introduced operational friction and the potential for errors in payroll processing and employee record maintenance. The client needed a production-ready integration that could handle all three data domains with accuracy and consistency.

How we approached it

RJ Reliance scoped the integration across the three data domains: employee indicative data, organization data, and payroll data. Each domain carries distinct data structures, validation requirements, and downstream sensitivities, so the integration design addressed them as separate but coordinated workstreams.

The team mapped source and target data models for WinTeams and ADP, identified transformation and validation rules for each domain, and built the integration logic to move data reliably between systems. Testing covered data accuracy, error handling, and edge cases relevant to each domain before the integration was moved to production.

Throughout the engagement, the focus was on building an integration that would be maintainable and auditable going forward, not simply functional at go-live.

The outcome

The WinTeams-to-ADP integration was completed across all three data domains. Employee indicative data, organizational data, and payroll data now flow between the two systems through an automated, structured process rather than manual effort.

The client gained a consistent, repeatable mechanism for keeping workforce and payroll records aligned across platforms, reducing the operational burden and risk exposure that came with managing those data sets separately.

The completed integration provides a stable foundation the client can maintain and extend as their HCM and payroll requirements evolve.
