The situation
A heavy civil and infrastructure contractor was running Viewpoint Vista as its core project and financial management platform alongside UKG Ready for workforce management. With no automated connection between the two systems, employee indicative data and organizational structure had to be maintained separately in each application.
The manual effort required to keep both systems in sync created risk of data discrepancies, added administrative burden on HR and payroll staff, and slowed the onboarding process whenever the workforce expanded for new project awards.
How we approached it
RJ Reliance engaged in November 2025 to design and build a comprehensive integration between Viewpoint Vista and UKG Ready. The scope centers on passing employee indicative data—new hires, personal information updates, job and pay changes—and organizational hierarchy between the two platforms automatically.
Our integration engineering team mapped the data model across both systems, identified the authoritative source of record for each data element, and designed the integration logic to handle the field transformations and validation rules required by each platform.
We are building the solution to be resilient in a field-intensive construction environment, accounting for the volume and frequency of workforce changes typical in project-based heavy civil work—crew mobilizations, demobilizations, and subcontractor transitions.
The outcome
The engagement is currently in progress, with go-live timing to be confirmed. When complete, employee and organizational data will flow automatically between Viewpoint Vista and UKG Ready, eliminating the need for duplicate manual entry across the two systems.
HR and payroll teams will have greater confidence in data consistency across platforms, and the organization will be positioned to scale workforce administration more efficiently as project volumes change.
